How have transplanted people, through choice or force, shaped American soil and appetites? What has a global pandemic revealed about our dependence on migrant labor and the vulnerabilities of our food-supply chain? Hosted by award-winning journalist, Dolly Li, each episode takes us back to our roots, following one food item on its journey from seed to table, addressing the themes of globalization, land, and identity through resilient communities who have cultivated food for survival.
